A limited edition of just 100 fountain pens crafted using Duraluminum originating from 1940 Battle of Britain Spitfire “P7350”. A suitable tribute to one of the finest and most iconic machines, the Supermarine Spitfire. The polished Duraluminum is very tactile to the touch, with a comforting warm feel.
Features
Due to re-using the 80-year-old ex-Spitfire metal for a new purpose, minor surface imperfections from the casting process exist on many of the pens, but this somehow only adds to their uniqueness, fascination and charm. The dimensions of the pen are as follows: capped 156mm, uncapped including nib 136mm, the Spitfire is not designed to post, barrel diameter 15mm, cap diameter 15mm, cap length 70mm. Nib Options: fine, medium or broad nib as standard, customised stub, italic or other styles available to order. Ink Feed: converter (provided) or standard European cartridge, upgrade to plunger-filler available. Nib material: Onoto Size 7 bi-colour in 18k solid gold or same size in stainless steel.
