OMAS Extra Fountain Pen (circa 1960-1970)

OMAS Extra Fountain Pen (circa 1960-1970) - pen

General

OMAS Pen Company was established in 1925 in Bologna, Italy and soon has become one of the most important pen companies of our time. Omas pens use only top-quality materials and have exceptional design and craftsmanship. The company was founded by Armando Simoni as “Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni” (abbreviated as OMAS).

Features

Each OMAS pen is produced with natural materials such as cotton resin, celluloid, wood, titanium, gold and silver. These materials are rare and often difficult to work with, but they can guarantee unique end-products, delivering the required pleasure of writing, as originally promised by Armando Simoni many years earlier. Our OMAS Extra fountain pen comes in black resin with gold trim, and naturally was made in Italy. It is a standard piston filler, with its solid 18k firm gold nib, sized as M. OMAS pens are very nice and reliable writers that many pen collectors enjoy using and collecting. When you unscrew the cap, the beautiful OMAS nib is the first thing you will notice. It is long and quite special in design sense, fitting the rest of this pen body very nicely.

Comments

Like most vintage Italian pens, these can be relatively rare and most of time they are expensive. The large size OMAS Extra Lucens are the most desirable but personally we prefer to use the OMAS smaller models.
