Amor Poetico
The fountain pens with classic nibs made before WWII and even after, gave the writer the ability to produce elegantly written letters and documents with variety of lines. The creation of written text was then quite natural and did not require anything extra special. Therefore, the surviving best and most interesting writing instruments of this era, could still be used and should if possible be protected for the future generations. Because of their character they are introduced here as Amor Poetico (Art Deco). The revival of interest in fountain pens and vintage classic pens, can be analysed at several different levels. As far as some collectors go, they talk about collecting the …un-inked pens. But both modern, postmodern and any classic pens should be used and cared for properly. In order to reach a happy level for those learning, selecting, collecting, identifying, acquiring and enjoying, we at least temporarily are leaving off, the weird wonderful and mega expensive museum objects – pens for specialists and experts, will not be covered here. There are lots more popular classic car owners with 1960s Mini Coopers, MGBs, MGAs and Austin Healeys, then there are with 1939s Bugatti’s or Ferraris!
