A simple tool to make and use for easy installation from a scrap pressure bar.

The correct method of installing a pressure bar is on servicing to remove the Button and from the barrel end then pull out the pressure bar, then remove the section and old sac etc, to service the pen.
Be careful with rare Conway Stewart button fillers, they are not designed to be easily taken out, requiring bespoke tools to do so. Some Mentmore pens and others, the button unscrews, to access the pressure bar.

After re-sac and assembly of the section in the barrel the Pressure Bar has to be installed form the rear. This has to be between the barrel and the sac, not too easy with 3 part “hanging” pressure. These are my favoured type as they do not rely on pressure to the section end, or as in very early Parker pens a ring to sit on inside the barrel. The “hanging type as shown are more substantial so can create problems with installation to clear between the barrel and sac.

As can be seen here, it is fairly straight forward, to install partially the tool, holding the sac away from the barrel, to then install the well chalked (medical grade), final pressure bar.
