Jinhao 922 Fountain Pen is a small in size, clear demonstrator design pen of rather simple design, which become quite popular in a very short space of time. In March 2023, you could buy this pen on-line for an amazing price of £5 whilst the Amazon price was much higher at £12, then by summer 2023, the on line price with an F 0.5mm fine nib direct from Shanghai in China was £10.79 or much less with a Free SpeedPAK shipping (approx. 3 weeks). Without doubt, the price factor played the key role in creating and establishing the large demand for this simple product.
Features
Our 922-demonstrator arrived in March 2023, and worked straight from day one, filled with Parker Quink Blue-Black ink, without any need for touching the nib. Whilst on the nib, it is again a Jinhao non-magnetic, made from steel F size equivalent of a small No.5. Both the barrel and cap are made in transparent acrylic with the accent of a light blue colour. Most important here is the nib, which was very smooth and apparently Jinhao positioned this pen for the student and academia market. The weight of 922 is just 16.8 g and its total length measures 135 mm.

The Jinhao 922 Fountain Pen is a low cost, decent quality writing instrument probably aimed at the novice or student with a limited budget to spend. It definitely works and the only question we have is its longevity or how long this transparent acrylic is going to last. First impression is cautiously positive.—
