Waterman Vintage Laureat GT Marble Mk II Fountain Pen (1990s)

Waterman Vintage Laureat GT Marble Mk II Fountain Pen (1990s) - pen

General

Waterman Vintage Laureat GT Marble Mk II Fountain Pen is quite similar to my Waterman Hemisphere in Marble Red, but it is little shorter by some 5 mm. Saying this, their body barrels are identical in length, but the caps lengths are little different, so are the nibs and feeds. The cylinder shapes of both pens again are quite similar but the Hemisphere end piece is a little tapered towards the end.

Features

Manufactured by Waterman in France, since early 1990s. Its length is 137 mm. Filling system takes international or long slender Waterman refills or converters. A Waterman cartridge is included as standard. Pen colour in our case is dark green and marbled based with lacquer finish with gold plated 2 rings trim. Black is the colour of its ridged grip section and black endpiece on barrel. Waterman Vintage Laureat GT nib is fitted as fine size and finished in gold-plated stainless-steel base material. Its ridged grip section is very convenient and measures 10 mm, where I would hold it normally. Its gold-plated clip is almost identical to Waterman Hemisphere but it is little shorter.

Comment

Nice and simple again and very useable writing instrument without any pretence of being something else then intended by its manufacturer. At present this pen is filled with Parker Quink Blue ink, but next I will try perhaps some of the KWZ Grass Green 4201 from Konrad in Poland.
