Features
Our Pilot Vintage Red Fountain Pen is designed and build as a simple yet reliable writing instrument. Its ink filling action is accomplished via squeezy rubber filler, common to many other low-cost Pilot fountain pens we have seen, naturally coming out of Japan over many years. The nib is of a standard Fine size, smooth and marked as the Super Quality and made out of gold-plated stainless steel. Both Barrel and cap material is made of a darkish red plastic, its clip is a fixed type and gold plated as the rest of the trim. This pen is very light at 10.4 g and its posting is quite secure enough for those for whom this pen as unposted is little short.
Comment
I obtained this little pen from the US together with another Pilot configured as the BB (Double Broad), presented here next. The pen does its job OK but it does not have the European feel and character. Nevertheless, I guess it was originally aimed at the university student market or schools. Its quality of workmanship and material used is good.

Ink used: Parker Quink Blue, France/UK
