General
The Parker Jotter pen arrived first some 59 years ago and consequently survived on the market and by popular demand since late 1954. This fountain pen comes with its attractively designed durable writing instrument assembly, by simply offering you everyday reliable writing experience. It is available in a range of several modern colours and popular finishes. It is manufactured in France.
Features
This contemporary Parker Jotter Stylo-Plume works well both uncapped or capped. The size of this pen is 132mm, whilst its grip measures 9.6 mm. Its weight is just 13.2 g. Despite its moderate size, this pen is just right for everyday use, including the educational sector, as most probably intended by Parker. The stainless-steel nib is feather-shaped in a standard medium size and is basically rigid, but with some small degree of flexibility. It is supplied with two 70 mm long cartridges of water-based blue ink. Our own yellow Parker Jotter worked first time after the new cartridge being mounted, with the reassuring supply of the just right quantity of blue ink on my writing paper and via its M identified feed/nib. When compared to Parker Sonnet, this pen’s weight is approximately half of the Sonnet and its retail price is much lower, but certainly not the overall writing experience.
Comment
This Parker writing instrument is covered two years warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials or quality of workmanship, and will be repaired or replaced free of charge by Parker. Being successfully positioned by Parker as a low-cost writing instrument, we have not seen yet many of its copies, unlike the more expensive Sonnet pens, which are currently probably one of the most copied pen designs on the global on-line market.
