Features
The precious resin barrels of the OpArt range feature a finely engraved pink Guilloche pattern of geometric lines, to create its three-dimensional effect and a claimed tactile writing experience. Faber-Castell also known as Graf von Faber-Castell knows how to make a great fountain pen. It is well balanced, but only when not posted, however when posted, then the pen gets definitely back heavy. The section between the nib and the body is very short (7 mm), so calling it the grip, is quite incorrect. Therefore, you have to use the part of Flamingo pink cylinder section, located just above as the actual grip section, which naturally is not a problem. This pen measures 140 mm in length and its weight is 28.7 g. The chrome plated clip is reassuringly spring loaded. Both cartridges and converters can be used. Our spare standard piston converter by Visconti works in this OpArt Flamingo just fine.
Comments
A study in efficient modern elegance and maximum simplicity, the Ambition OpArt combines clean lines and proper materials to ensure an excellent visual impression. As an OpArt Flamingo being of limited special edition, the UK distributor informed us, that this interesting pen is now sadly discontinued. So back to trying ones luck on Ebay, or even start hunting for a NOS pen (new old stock), which presumably still exists somewhere.
