They also produced a large range of nibs including those, specially designed for left-handed users.

Features

Manufactured in England over 50 years ago in black acrylic this very Model 65 is 138 mm long and its weight is 15.7 g. Its nib is medium in its size, gold plated on stainless steel, designed as the oblique left italic nib which is a beautiful thing, and one of the less common Osmiroid nibs. It has some design flexibility as expected, whilst delivering a smooth performance even on an average quality 80 gsm paper. The feed is embossed with the PAT identification, whilst the original double nib reads: Osmiroid 65, italics, medium, O/L (oblique left). The nib is very easy to screw in rather than the usual friction design. There are at least three different filling systems introduced over the years for this model.

Comment

Calligraphy specialists will appreciate a lot from this wonderful writing instrument. Osmiroid Model 65 Fountain Pen is quite popular on the second user market in the UK, and purchasing NOS examples still in their original boxes and Model 65 spare parts are possible. Model 65 prices are very reasonable most of the time and very good value for money. Avoid non original or badly restored examples. As little knowledge of these things can lead to easily avoidable future costly problems and completely unnecessary levels of stress.
